THE USE OF THE DISCRETE FOURIER TRANSFORM WHEN SOLVING THE FORECASTING PROBLEM
The article investigates some ways of solving the problem of reducing technogenic risks, the source of which is the gradual failure. Considered is the problem of individual fore-casting of the engineering system instant of failure through measuring its functional capacity at certain points of time with an error specified in the form of an interval of possible values. The possibility and feasibility of using the discrete Fourier transform in solving the forecasting problem are shown.
