RECOGNITION AND SELECTION OF TEXTUAL INFORMATION ON A TOPOGRAPHIC PLAN

The article proposes a method for recognizing information on a topographic plan. The method is used to recognize the text inside the outlines of the buildings and other symbols on the plan. The proposed text recognition method is based on the Lee wave algorithm. The paper demonstrates that this multipurpose algorithm can be used for the selection of the objects contours on a black and white image, even in case of noise. An approach to the recognition of text symbols on a topographic plan is proposed, which is based on the symbols sequence analysis.
