Energy-saving control of forced-draft mechanisms of boiler units at thermal power stations by the application of electric drive resources
We showed the possibilities of energy-saving control for forced-draft mechanisms of boiler units of thermal power stations such as blow fans and smoke suckers by the reduction of boiler units’ productivity down from nominal. We investigated two variants of energy saving: with application of frequency-controlled electric drive and double-speed induction motor. The payback periods for the above-mentioned variants of energy saving were estimated.
